Sarn Helen Cycle Events has teamed up with the South Wales Evening Post and The Wave to bring you the 2014 big bicycle challenge and this year it’s better than ever!
Come and join us on the four-day Pedal Paris 2 Swansea bike ride from 13-17 August 2014 and enjoy 320 miles of beautiful rural roads from Paris to Swansea to raise money for Maggie’s Cancer Centre in Swansea.
You’ll start from the imposing Eiffel Tower in the French capital, taking in some of France’s most picturesque countryside before crossing the channel for the journey home.
By signing up for the challenge, you’ll not only raise money for such a worthwhile local cause but you’ll also have a lot of fun, make new friends and get a real sense of achievement as you cross the finish line in front of family and friends in Swansea’s city centre.
The minimum fundraising target is £1,500. You need to pay £250 when registering to confirm your place. This is non-refundable but is included in the fundraising target.
All air fares, ferry crossings, hotel accommodation, food (apart from evening meal), luggage and bike transportation, and repairs, maintenance and energy drinks while on the ride are included as well as a support/recovery vehicle as back-up during the ride. We’ll also give you a souvenir cycle shirt on registration.
This challenge really is a lifetime experience and we guarantee you’ll make new friends for life, not to mention helping a wonderful charity at the same time. But don’t take our word for it, here is what one of our previous particpants had to say:
Unbeatable experience for a fantastic cause. Superbly organised, beautiful routes and made new friends for life. A challenge I’ll never forget for all the right reasons.”
Mark Wilkes, Paris to Barcelona 2013 cyclist.
