Join us this year on Sunday, 6th December for our annual Christmas Charity bike ride that will see loads of Christmas Jumper clad cyclists enjoying a day out on their bikes, whilst raising money for The Paul Popham Fund, Renal Support Wales.
Starting at the Virgin Active Glamorgan Health Club in Llandarcy, you’ll don your favourite Christmas Jumper (and maybe put some tinsel on your bike!) before setting off for the Action Bikes shop in Swansea to pick up the cycling elves, you’ll then enjoy some of the best views Swansea Bay has to offer, as we cycle along the promenade towards Mumbles Pier for a well earned cuppa.
Once everyone has taken a Christmas Jumper Ride selfie, you’ll head back and finish the ride where you set off, having burned off more than a few mince pies in the process!
The money raised from the ride will go towards supporting The Paul Popham Fund, Renal Support Wales, whom are inviting 40 children from The Children’s Renal Unit in the Heath Hospital, to enjoy Shrek the Musical and visit Santa’s Grotto in the Wales Millennium Centre in December.
As most of the children in the renal unit are too ill, tired or unable to afford a trip such as this, The Paul Popham Fund, Renal Support Wales wanted the children to have a Christmas memory they will always cherish.
The Christmas Jumper Ride is a family event, we have two routes for you to choose from:
A twenty-four mile cycle ride along some minor roads from the Virgin Active Glamorgan Health Club in Llandarcy to Mumbles Pier (via the Action Bikes shop to collect the Little Elves riders) and back. Ideal for more experienced riders.
Everyone who completes the Rudolph route, will have an opportunity to try out the fantastic facilities at the Virgin Active Glamorgan Health Club in Llandarcy, as well as taking advantage of the £4 meal deal of a pint and chilli with rice.

Little Elves Route
